Zdzislaw (Ted) Nagengast

Zdzislaw (Ted) Nagengast heads the EastWest Institute’s history project, which will chronicle EWI’s activities since the institute’s founding in 1980.

Nagengast is also a management consultant, helping leaders of both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations develop and execute growth strategies. His methodology is based on discovering and leveraging an organization’s latent leadership talent in a collaborative, results-oriented way.

A recognized expert in large group facilitation, he has managed operations throughout Europe, Asia and North America for Continental Illinois Bank and the McDonald’s Corporation. He has served as COO and on the Board of Directors of Avisere Corp. He also served as a special assistant to EWI President John Mroz.

A graduate of North Central College with a background in statistical research methodologies, Nagengast lives in Glen Ellyn, Illinois with his wife Barbara.
