R. William Ide III is a partner at McKenna Long & Aldridge representing management with special investigations, ethics, corporate governance, crisis management and strategic advice.

He served as president of the American Bar Association from 1993 – 1994, and holds a number of professional positions including that of Senior Fellow at the Conference Board Directors Institute; and Chair, Georgia Supreme Court Committee on Technology. He received a B.A. in American history from Washington & Lee University and received a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
