Peter Castenfelt
Mr. Castenfelt is Chairman of Archipelago Enterprises, a loan, credit, and finance company based in London.
After having received a Master’s Degree in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics and an MBA from Harvard Business School, he started his career as an associate with Dillon Read. He then became a member of the board of First Boston/Credit Suisee first Boston. Thereafter, Mr. Castenfelt did merger and acquisition work for Dillon Read in an advisory and board capacity and served as director of several investment funds, including one sponsored by The Industrial Bank of Japan in Tokyo.
From 1988-94 he served as Chairman of Pallas Invest, an international investment company in London owned by twenty international financial and industrial institutions. Since 1982, he has been a private equity investor and entrepreneur.
From 1990 onwards, Mr. Castenfelt has performed a number of pro bono public service roles, including sole financial advisor to the Bolshoi Theatre, sole foreign advisor to a Russian presidential committee on economic security matters, sole foreign advisor to the leadership of the government of the Russian Federation as well as international envoy for the Office of the Russian President, the Office of the President and the government of thee the Republic of Kazakhstan, and also special wartime envoy for the Russian and German governments to Belgrade.
