John Edwin Mroz

John Edwin Mroz is President and Chief Executive Officer of the EastWest Institute. From its roots as a European-American initiative to bridge the divisions between Europe and Eurasia, John built EWI into one of the world’s pre-eminent non-governmental change-agent institutions.

Greg Austin

Dr. Greg Austin is Vice President of Program Development and Rapid Response at the EastWest Institute. Greg has a 30-year career in international affairs, including senior posts in academia and government.

Eden Collinsworth

Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff

Eden Collinsworth

Eden Collinsworth began her career in book publishing at Doubleday & Company. She joined Arbor House in 1976 and was named its President and Publisher in 1983. During her tenure, the company published authors Elmore Leonard, A.R. Gurney, Anthony Burgess and Ken Follett, among others.

Andrew Nagorski

Andrew Nagorski, who spent more than three decades as an award-winning foreign correspondent and editor for Newsweek, joined the EastWest Institute in August 2008. He is Vice President and Director of Public Policy.

Guenter Overfeld

Ambassador Guenter Overfeld is EWI’s Vice President and Director of Regional Security and Preventive Diplomacy. He is an Ambassador-at-Large on loan to EWI from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

W. Pal Sidhu

Dr. Waheguru Pal Singh Sidhu is Vice President of Programs. Dr. Sidhu has researched, written and taught extensively on the United Nations and regionalism, Southern Asia, confidence-building-measures, disarmament, arms control, and non-proliferation issues.

Svetlana Boiko

Svetlana Boiko is the Executive Assistant to the EastWest Institute's Director of the Moscow Office. Svetlana's academic and professional background is in the areas of finance and office management.

David J. Firestein

David J. Firestein is EWI's Director of Track 2 Diplomacy; in this capacity, he leads EWI's China, Russia and United States initiatives, reporting to the president. 

Vladimir Ivanov

Senior Associate and Director of EWI's Moscow Branch

Vladimir Ivanov

Vladimir Ivanov, PhD, is the Director of the EastWest Institute's Moscow Office. Before his current position, Vladimir was responsible for overseeing and managing EWI's Fiscal Transparency Program, including the publication of a series of studies on fiscal flows between the Federal Budget and the Regions.
