General (ret.) T. Michael “Buzz” Moseley is a Distinguished Fellow at the EastWest Institute. He was, until he retired on August 1, 2008, Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force.

Oxford.
Jonas Hartelius was a Senior Fellow with the EWI Global Security Program. His main areas of study were terrorism, narcoterrorism and crime threatening the rule of law.
Hekmat Karzai is the founder and Director of the Centre for Conflict and Peace Studies in Kabul, Afghanistan. He is a frequent commentator on Afghanistan and has served as Head of the Political Department at the Afghan embassy in the U.S.
Leonid Ryabikhin was an Air Force Academy instructor in the Soviet Air Force. He is an expert in arms control, non-proliferation, and aviation and missile technology.
It should not be a surprise that EWI attracts so much support from the private sector and foundations as well as the European Union, international institutions and European governments. As a catalyst for change, EWI has a key role to play in helping transition countries to build peaceful democracies and competitive free markets. It is a huge job but working together we can and shall continue to make a difference.
