Vladimir Ivanov

Vladimir Ivanov, PhD, is the Director of the EastWest Institute's Moscow Office. Before his current position, Vladimir was responsible for overseeing and managing EWI's Fiscal Transparency Program, including the publication of a series of studies on fiscal flows between the Federal Budget and the Regions.

Hekmat Karzai is the founder and Director of the Centre for Conflict and Peace Studies in Kabul, Afghanistan. He is a frequent commentator on Afghanistan and has served as Head of the Political Department at the Afghan embassy in the U.S.
