Jonas Hartelius was a Senior Fellow with the EWI Global Security Program. His main areas of study were terrorism, narcoterrorism and crime threatening the rule of law.

 Hartelius has been Secretary General and also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Swedish Carnegie Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. He has written more than ten books on drugs, social issues and public opinion molding. He has a B.A. degree in mathematics and theory of science from the University of Gothenburg. He is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP).
